Arogya’s Services :

Arogya has Outpatient, Inpatient department and Day care facilities. Unlike other hospitals, Arogya aims to offer a family-like atmosphere.

Out patient department

The outpatient department at Arogya Siddha hospital aims to be a welcoming, friendly place for patients.

Reception:

The Reception team is dedicated for giving appointments for the patients who can contact Hospital through phone calls, mails and walk in. We encourage Prior appointments for consultants which helps us to do better service for the patients. When you arrive in the outpatient department please report to the reception desk. You will have been given an appointment time. The reception staff will always keep you informed about any delays and if you have any concerns please do not hesitate to ask any of the staff.

Consultation:

You will be examined by our team of consultants. You will be asked about your previous medical history, so it will be a good idea to make short notes on information that you think is helpful before you come to clinic including a list of the medication you are currently taking. You may also find it useful to make a note of questions that you want to ask.

VARMAM (Traditional Siddha art of stimulating vital points of the body)

Varmam is a branch of Siddha system of medicine, which initially evolved as an ancient martial art. Later, Varmam practice had an interesting transformation to a healing science. Even though it stands as a branch of Siddha system of medicine, it holds the potential to establish itself as a specialty healing therapy. According to theory, there are Varmam points in the body which are vital energy storing points through which vital energy is transmitted to the various parts of the body and all the functions of the body are mediated. 108 Varmam points are defined and these are used to stimulate energy, heal disease or stimulate the immune mechanism. Among the 108, 12 are major or vital points which control the function of the vital organs of the body

Thokkanam (Siddha herbal oil therapy)

Pineapple The term ‘Thokkanam’ is a combination of two words 'Thokku', meaning skin and 'anam' meaning support or tone or heat. Thokkanam also called Marthanam, is a structured therapy technique which is mainly used in the treatment of chronic vaatham ailments. It can, however, also be used in pitham and kabham ailments also. This therapy practiced in nine methods gives excellent results even without any internal drug administration. 'Theran Tharu' describes this technique in detail.

Shirodhara (Ayurvedic relaxant therapy)

Shirodhara (Shiro-dar-a) is a unique, blissful therapy that balances and stabilizes the mind. To receive Shirodhara, the client lies down upon a therapy table with their eyes covered. Next, specially prepared warm herbal oil is poured in a thin steady stream directly onto the forehead and sixth chakra. Shirodhara purifies the mind, alleviates anxiety, reduces headaches, and expands awareness

 

Steam Bath

Warm and gentle heat of steam bath relaxes your body. It melts away the extra fats. It soothens tensed and strained muscles, cleans dirt from body and keeps the complexion fresh as well as invigorating. It provides sound sleep at night.

NATUROPATHY

Naturopathy is the Art & Science of living and the Non invasive unique drugless system where the person's self healing is promoted to recover or cure from diseased condition of the one's body & mind. Spinal Bath

Introduction

Hydrotherapeutic procedure where the person is made to lie down in specially designed fibre It is performed in designed tub with its back is equipment such that only the back immersed in water at desired temperature, As Spinal column influences by central nervous system, It is helpful to calm down the nerves system, relives para spinal muscle spasm, cervical lumbar stiffness, very good stimulant effect for sleep.

  • 15to 20 minutes.

Mud Therapy

Introduction

Mud therapy is very simple and effective treatment modality which is one of five elements of nature, having immense impact on the body in treatment & Preventive aspect of the individual.it has property of cooling the body,removing the dead cells & absorbing the toxins from the blood.As it contains minerals like sulphur ,zinc ,magnesium helps in curation of skin ailments.It absorbs all the colours of the Sun and conveys them to the body.

  • The effects of mud are refreshing, invigorating, and vitalizing.
  • For wounds and skin diseases, application of mud is the only true bandage.
  • It dilutes and absorbs the toxic substances of body and ultimately eliminates them from body.
  • Mud is used successfully in different diseases like constipation, headache due to tension, high blood pressure, skin diseases etc.
  • Application of the pack over the eyes is useful in cases of conjunctivitis, haemorrhages in the eyeball, itching, allergy, errors of refraction like short sight and long sight and especially useful in glaucoma where it helps to reduce eyeball tension.

Mud Pack for Face

  • Soaked mud is applied on the face and allowed to dry for 30 minutes. This is helpful in improving the complexion of the skin and removing pimples and open skin pores which in turn facilitate elimination. This also is helpful in eliminating dark circles around the eyes. After 30 minutes, face should be washed thoroughly with cold water.

Hip bath

Hydrotherapeutic procedure where the patient is made to sit inside the tub water filled up to navel region for 20mints The purpose is to dissolve and assist in the elimination of toxic substances stored in the body tissue through increasing blood circulation.

Introduction

Plantain leaf bath natural leaf therapy where the person is made to lie on large plantain leaf cover the person completely with leaf such a way that the person can get direct sunlight at time between 8:00am to 10:00am., The leaf contains chlorophyll has antiseptic property

Duration

  • The patient can be inside for 20-40minutes. If the patients feel very uneasy he can be relieved.
  • Toxins in the form of sweat from ½ to 1 litter would have come out.
  • Then the patient should be allowed to rest in the airy shady place for ½ and hour and then take bath with cold water.

Reflexology

Yoga Department

Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word 'YUJ' which means union of body, mind and soul. The aim of yoga is to create adequate balance within body by developing strength and flexibility. Yogic practices are stretching and strengthening procedures which have multiple benefits on our body. Here we are following traditional yogic method known as “Hatha yoga"

Arogya’s traditional yogic practices are grouped & designed to produce general fitness and therapeutic effects for LIFE STYLE DISORDERS such as Obesity, Diabetics mellitus, Hypothyroidism, Bronchial Asthma, Hypertension, PCOD,
